• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

    Cryptica vs. Lanxal

OK Lust, forget "Reunion of the Fallen." This is "Animé Style Battling!" I'd say Ice Punch, then Facade, and then Ice Punch again. If the Shinx uses a physical attack on any of the turns, use Counter, but if you've already used Counter, then don't. Ice Punch/Counter ~ Facade/Counter ~ Ice...
  2. Mad MOAI

    Cryptica vs. Lanxal

First, I recommend using Focus Punch while Sisay goes with Toxic, and then Hail. Then you can Payback, but AFTER Sisay uses Thunder again. Focus Punch ~ Hail ~ Payback
  3. Mad MOAI

    Cryptica vs. Lanxal

Erm, I think you mean Razor CLAW. * Cryptica is slapped* Good one, Lust. Then again, Homunculi are supposed to be semi-immortal, so... Anyway, enough with the semi-boasting. I'll have you start out with Torment, then... how about Ice Punch, and lastly go for Payback. Torment ~ Ice Punch ~ Payback
  4. Mad MOAI

    Cryptica vs. Lanxal

Start out with Fake Out. Then Rain Dance to avoid a whole buncha damage from Fire Fang. After that... use Ice Punch. Fake Out ~ Rain Dance ~ Ice Punch
  5. Mad MOAI

    Cryptica vs. Lanxal

Last resort now, then. Afterwards... Facade again, since Last Resort might be a bit draining. Then, I guess another Facade would do. Oh, and if Last Resort doesn't work and you haven't used it this round, do that instead. Last Resort ~ Facade/Last Resort x2
  6. Mad MOAI

    Cryptica vs. Lanxal

Maria can't Rest, so... Thunder Wave first, to get back at the Shinx. After that, use Facade. Then Last Resort, since the triple Crunch should get you close to fainting, unfortunately. Thunder Wave ~ Facade ~ Last Resort
  7. Mad MOAI

    Cryptica vs. Lanxal

All right Ross, that was good. But who would expect less from the Uber Awesomesauce Second Lieutenant? -Cryptica has been slapped. Okay, now to the commands. Sing (It'll probably miss but whatever), Facade again, then... Hidden Power. :D Sing ~ Facade ~ Hidden Power
  8. Mad MOAI

    Cryptica vs. Lanxal

Looks like Fire moves might give a bit of trouble with Sunny Day, but the battle's almost over for you or Razia (as far as I know), so no use using Rain Dance. (Don't be discouraged by my pessimism!) First Double Team with 3 clones, then Facade and Thunderbolt. Double Team (3 clones) ~ Facade ~...
  9. Mad MOAI

    Cryptica vs. Lanxal

Chill, lieutenant! You've obviously been spending too much time with that .45 -caliber gun! After that... um, I wanna see what Secret Power does. Can you help me with that? And then Discharge works ;) Chill ~ Secret Power ~ Discharge
  10. Mad MOAI

    Cryptica vs. Lanxal

Oops. Probably should have chilled there. *shrug* Must stop writing commands at 7 in the morning. Use Encore when the Magby goes with Toxic. Not gonna want any more pain for awhile other than that from poison. Charge and Thunderbolt are good after that. Encore ~ Charge ~ Thunderbolt
  11. Mad MOAI

    Cryptica vs. Lanxal

All right, Lieutenant, let's try something. Try using Sweet Kiss on the first turn for confusion. (It confuses even me a bit...) Next we can have Wish in case you get attacked real bad, and then... Mud-Slap to lower accuracy. Sweet Kiss ~ Wish ~ Mud-Slap
  12. Mad MOAI

    Cryptica vs. Lanxal

Yesss. Simple commands. Rain Dance, Charge, Thunder. Oh, and make sure the Magby gets underneath the rain clouds. (Remember that Thunder never misses if it's raining. I guess that means it doesn't hit the clones much...?) Rain Dance ~ Charge ~ Thunder The RNG's gotta improve sometime...
  13. Mad MOAI

    Cryptica vs. Lanxal

Simple. Nasty Plot, Charge, then Discharge. Nasty Plot ~ Charge ~ Discharge Whenever I think of the somewhat decent moves, or those that might be messed up, I attack first o.o
  14. Mad MOAI

    Cryptica vs. Lanxal

This was what kept me awake in bed last night. I was worried that technically reading a trainer's mind was allowed, and that I would be taken advantage of by attacks with no strategy. I was thinking about forfeiting the match, but I might as well just go with the flow and see how this turns out...
  15. Mad MOAI

    Cryptica vs. Lanxal

Did I miss something in the rules... or something? Are you allowed to devise a strategy based entirely on the opponent's orders? Or did I skip over a small detail?
  16. Mad MOAI

    Cryptica vs. Lanxal

Oh. I already had some in mind, then... Since you're facing a Fire-type, Ross, you can go with Rain Dance first. (Magby can't learn any Ground moves, anyway.) And then, you're not gonna want to get attacked too much, so you can Thunder Wave next. And then Fake Tears so you don't have to spam...
  17. Mad MOAI

    Cryptica vs. Lanxal

Okay, since I'm obviously not wanting to go up against a Fire-type with an Ice-type, I'll send out Awesomesauce 2nd Lieutenant Maria Ross.
